Pepper Legal Offers Adult Site Legal Reviews

SOMERVILLE, N.J. — Adult entertainment law firm Pepper Legal Consulting Group is running a special limited-time offer for adult webmasters.

Through Dec. 31, Pepper Legal Consulting Group will offer a comprehensive legal review of adult webmasters’ websites for a low flat rate.

“Most webmasters are so busy updating content, conducting promotions and marketing, and maintaining their websites, they simply don’t have time to think about the numerous legal issues with running an adult website,” said Dan Pepper, owner of Pepper Legal Consulting Group. “Whether it’s having appropriate website terms of use, complying with 18 U.S.C. 2257, or protecting the site’s intellectual property, it’s so easy for a webmaster to get into trouble without even realizing it.”

The legal review includes a top-to-bottom analysis of what is currently on the website, what should be included, and what should be changed. It also provides a step-by-step checklist on how to take action quickly.

“The typical website review involves a complete navigation through the site to determine the nature of the content, how it is presented to the user, and what steps a user takes to access the content,” Pepper said.

“Depending upon the scope and size of the website, the full review and analysis takes about a week. Once the review is complete, I lay out an action plan to help get the website owner get in compliance with applicable laws, to protect their content, and to make sure their content is being licensed correctly.”

According to Pepper, there are problems with nearly every website he’s reviewed, a situation which he said is in part caused by the poor job lawmakers have done when crafting relevant and understandable legislation.

“It’s so vitally important for the website owner to recognize that he is entering into a contract with his users, just by virtue of the user accessing and viewing the website,” Pepper said. “If you don’t have any website terms of use, or you have incorrect terms, it’s like letting someone into your store without any rules on what they can and can’t do.”

Pepper Legal has experience working as in-house legal counsel for large, publicly traded software companies, as well as years of private practice working with individuals, small companies and large corporate enterprises.

Website owners can take advantage of this limited-time offer by filling out the contact form on the Pepper Legal website AdultWebsiteLawyer.com, or email dan@adultwebsitelawyer.com.
