Pineapple Support to Host 'Self-Harm' Support Group

Pineapple Support to Host 'Self-Harm' Support Group

LOS ANGELES — Pineapple Support is hosting a free online support group for performers and creators who engage in self-harming behaviors.

The six-week “Self-Harm Support and Courageous Conversations” support group will be led by Pineapple Support therapist Bridget Bycina and begins March 5 at 5 p.m. (EST). Key features of the group include sharing experiences, learning coping strategies, building a support system, and learning about available mental health resources.

Sessions will last approximately one hour and will take place Wednesdays through April 9.

“The self-harm support group is a safe and confidential space where individuals can come together to share their experiences, feelings, and coping strategies,” said Bycina. “We will explore the underlying emotions and triggers of self-harm, discuss effective coping mechanisms, and provide a supportive environment for healing and growth.”

Pineapple Support founder Leya Tanit added, “There is immense power in coming together to openly discuss mental health challenges without judgment. This support group provides a safe space to explore emotions, reduce feelings of shame, and develop healthier coping mechanisms. We are deeply grateful to AdultTime for making this vital resource possible.”
