Evan Stone Seeks Republican Nomination for Nevada's District 1

LAS VEGAS — Veteran adult performer Evan Stone will compete on Tuesday in the Republican congressional primary for Nevada’s District 1, which includes part of Las Vegas, Henderson and much of the southern part of the state.

Stone is an award-winning performer who joined the industry in 1997 and has over 2,300 credited scenes, according to his IAFD entry. He’s best known as the protagonist of Digital Playground’s acclaimed “Pirates” movies (2005-2008), the highest-budget productions in the history of the industry.

The Republican District 1 primary is a five-way race between Stone, Jim Blockey, Michael Boris, Flemming Larsen and Mark Robertson. Tuesday’s election will select the candidate who will face incumbent Democrat Dina Titus on November 5.

"I’m a porn star in politics," Stone told XBIZ, "so I’m going to bring all the freedom and personal liberties that we enjoy to the Republican party — and make them enjoy it."

Stone added that unlike his opponents — "a military vet who is used to following orders, a restauranteur who is going to be busy with his business, and a comedian who's not funny" — he is the right person to have a shot at unseating Titus.

"Some of the others went against her and lost already," he added. "She’s an incumbent. But I'm different. I'm a student of history, and I've always wanted to run for office, and now is the time. I hold the values that everyone else holds, not the values of the bureaucracy or the political class."

Stone shared his mission through his candidacy page, EvanStoneForAmerica.com, stating, “The only way we can change the world is if we change our leaders. Like you, I am tired. Tired of waiting for my health insurance payouts, tired of seeing men and women living on the street, tired of politicians who say nothing and do even less. Come together with me on June 11th. Together we can change Nevada.”
