New Civil Lawsuit Seeks to Link Pornhub to Trafficking

SAN DIEGO — The attorney who filed the 2016-2018 civil lawsuit on behalf of former GirlsDoPorn models, which the led to the criminal prosecution of the site’s owner and associates, has filed a lawsuit against Aylo and associated companies, on behalf of 61 Jane Doe models who allege the company formerly known as MindGeek was complicit in the now-shuttered GDP site’s activities.

The complaint, filed on Tuesday by San Diego attorney Brian Holm and two of his partners, alleges that Aylo “knowingly participated in and benefited from GirlsDoPorn’s sex trafficking venture.”

The former models are seeking restitution, claiming Aylo was complicit in sex trafficking, racketeering, conspiracy to commit racketeering and human trafficking. The claims are based on MindGeek’s alleged monetization and distribution of GDP content between 2009 and 2020, when the site was seized by federal authorities while owner Michael Pratt was a fugitive from U.S. justice.

An Aylo rep told XBIZ, “The safety of our community is our No. 1 priority, so we are proud to have instituted trust and safety policies that surpass those of any other major user-generated platform on the internet.

“Our compliance program has helped us set the standard for the tech industry, and we are committed to remaining at the forefront of this important area,” the rep added.

“Out of respect for the integrity of court proceedings, our policy is not to comment on ongoing litigation,” the Aylo rep concluded. “We look forward to the facts being fully and fairly aired in that forum.”
