Cherry.tv Rolls Out New Interface, Holiday Promo Contest

DELAWARE — Cherry.tv is celebrating its one-year anniversary, in conjunction with the Fourth of July holiday, by launching its upgraded Cherry 2.0 platform interface alongside a new promo contest for fans and creators.

“We are excited to roll out Cherry 2.0 and celebrate everything we have accomplished in our first year,” CEO Paul Ashworth said. “So we’re rolling out themed animated gifts that nod at celebrations in general and riff a little on U.S. patriotism in particular.”

Zuzana Kasinski, Cherry.tv's director of business development and talent manager, noted that "the fireworks are definitely on at Cherry.tv, even if only in the form of our epic red, white and blue animated 'cock rocket' gift."

"But there will also be cake, champagne and 'kiss' gifts," she added. "We want everyone to have fun with this no matter where they are in the world."

Similar to previous contests, the action gifts and streaming time during the promotional period will translate into earned "cupcakes." For every hour a model streams between July 4 and July 21, she earns cupcakes. She also will earn cupcakes for every gift she receives. Fans earn cupcakes by sending gifts to their favorite models. Rankings for both fans and models will be locked in by midnight on July 22.

The top 10 ranked fans and models will be eligible to win; the top model with the most cupcakes can win $3,000 cash and the top fan, 5,000 tokens.

"We’re looking forward to seeing the leaderboards light up, so be ready to start the party with us on July 4," Kasinski said. "And thanks again to everyone for a fantastic first year — we can’t wait to show you Cherry 2.0."
