ImLive Expands Humanitarian Assistance Program for Ukraine

LOS ANGLES — ImLive has expanded its humanitarian assistance program for Ukrainians in need.

A rep noted an initial round of assistance was given to a group of Ukrainian attendees of the recent TES Affiliate Conference in Sitges, Spain who found themselves stranded and unable to return home due to travel restrictions stemming from the invasion of their country by Russian forces.

The crisis was further compounded by global financial restrictions with many of the delegates unable to receive or transfer funds.

"The executive team at ImLive quickly convened to discuss how the company could step in and assist their industry colleagues," a rep said.

A decision was quickly made to transfer 30 Ukrainian TES attendees to a four-star hotel in Barcelona for 10 days, fully covered by ImLive, to allow the delegates time to work on their next steps without the added stress of having to secure accommodations and necessities.

"The original offer was made to 30 people, but it was clear nobody should be left behind and was subsequently extended to all 46 delegates. A bus was hired and a hotel booked on what was one of the busiest weekends of the year, coinciding with carnival and a world mobile tech conference in Barcelona," noted the rep.

"ImLive personnel stayed with the group for the duration, mounting a remote office and ensuring emotional support and assistance was available. All 46 delegates were able to find safe passage to neighboring countries with accommodations and flights gifted by the kind help of individuals and companies within the industry."

A decision was subsequently made by ImLive to expand its humanitarian assistance; the company is now supporting the establishment and maintenance of a field hospital in Ukraine managed by local medical personnel.

"Further to the creation of the field hospital, sufficient funding was also donated for the purchase of an ultrasound device that will be used in what is currently one of the country’s most important life-saving missions, as the war continues," the rep said. "ImLive is honored to help our Ukrainian friends and hope you join us in wishing them a safe conclusion to this terrible situation."
