Social Audio App MON to Host SXSW Events

AUSTIN, Texas — New sex-positive social audio app MON is set to take part in the SXSW Conference & Festival beginning with the Capital Factory House Startup Crawl on Friday.

"The relatively smaller-scale and inviting setting of Capital Factory House is ideal for reaching out and establishing ourselves among our talented peers who are also establishing roots in this unique and amazing industry," an event rep said.

MON will also host "Sexual Wellness Week" on its app, with speakers and brands to include Bryony Cole, Dr. Evan Goldstein, Rocio Pelayo of Hablemos Sex Tech and Lilly Sparks of afterglow, from March 14-18.

Additionally, MON and Hablemos will co-host an in-person unofficial mixer, "Sex/Femme Tech Mix and Mingle," in downtown Austin at The Well restaurant Sunday, March 13, 4:30-6:30 p.m. (local time).

Pelayo will also discuss the future of intimacy and relationships as a featured speaker at SXSW’s in-person panel "Will We Still Have Sex in the Future?" on Thursday, March 17.

"The company’s presence at the House, a ‘tech ecosystem’ for startups featuring educational seminars, speakers and networking opportunities for the industry’s most innovative minds, will serve to offer the event’s 17,000 selected attendees an introduction and in-person demonstrations of the App’s benefits, capabilities and easy-to-use functions," noted a rep.

More than 500,000 attendees are expected to take part in SXSW's 10-day event this year.

"As SXSW welcomes its first in-person event in two years, we are so pleased to be included at Capital Factory's Startup Crawl," said MON founder and CEO Caleth Jones. "This exclusive space welcomes only a limited number of startups to join in extending professional opportunities to tech-forward brands, so it is an honor to have been chosen to exhibit with them this year."

Find MON online and on Apple's App Store and follow the company on Twitter.
