NCSF's Susan Wright to Guest on Sunday's 'Sex Tech Connect'

LOS ANGELES — Susan Wright, founder of the National Coalition for Sexual Freedom (NCSF), will appear as a special guest of the Sex Tech Connect teleconferencing event series this Sunday, which was organized by the recently formed networking group for the sextech and adult retail industries, and professionals involved with sexuality research, journalism and the arts.

The group meets Sundays at 10 a.m. (PDT) for "Virtual Brunch, Happy Hour or Late Night Drink." Recent guests have included Carli Sapir, founding partner of Reformation Ventures; "Love and Sex With Robots" author Dr. David Levy; Skirt Club founder and CEO Genevieve LeJeune; and venture capitalist McKeever "Mac" Conwell II, among others.

Wright, described as "a noted advocate for people living an alternate lifestyle," founded NCSF in 1997 and is the org's official spokesperson.

"The NCSF is self-described to be committed to creating a political, legal and social environment in the U.S. that advances equal rights for consenting adults who engage in alternative sexual and relationship expressions," a rep said. "The NCSF aims to promote the rights of and advocate for consenting adults in the BDSM, leather and fetish, swing and polyamory communities. Wright and NCSF have been fighting government efforts to stifle our humanity and our right to love who we want and how we want."

Wright is embracing the opportunity to interact with the industry professionals at Sex Tech Connect.

"During these difficult times, we need to stay connected to make sure we share information about the issues we face today," she said.

During Sunday's meetup, attendees will have the opportunity to speak directly to Wright and to network.

”[W]e are so excited to have Susan as our guest to lead a very important discussion for broad-based inclusion of kink and the need of alternative lifestyle in sextech products and services, as well as for the industry’s customers in general," said Maxine Lynn, adult industry attorney and Sex Tech Connect co-founder. "This will be an excellent eye-opening conversation for us all to take pieces with us to improve our businesses — and ourselves, of course, as human beings.”
