FSC Issues COVID-19 Emergency Fund Update

LOS ANGELES — The Free Speech Coalition (FSC) has issued an update regarding disbursements from its Emergency Fund.

The text of today's announcement reads as follows:

We have finished disbursing the initial money raised for the FSC Emergency Fund, and we have approximately $36,000 left for one more disbursement. We will be able to make grants of $300 to 120 more people.

The application for this disbursement will open on Thursday, June 18 at 9 a.m. (PDT) and close on Friday, June 19 at 9 a.m. (PDT). The link to the application will be posted on FSC’s website and on our main Twitter account.

Please apply if you are in financial need and meet the following eligibility requirements.

  • You have not already received a check from the FSC Emergency Fund
  • You are a performer who has tested at a PASS-certified lab and had your results sent to PASS
  • You are a crew member who has worked on PASS-regulated sets
  • You are a performer or a crew member who has worked on gay and trans productions that use alternate testing protocols or employ other safer sex practices

As this will be our final disbursement, we are no longer seeking donations to the FSC Emergency Fund.

If you have any questions, please email emergencyfund@freespeechcoalition.com

NOTE:
If you were one of the initial 489 applicants and did not receive a check, you were either ineligible or you were eligible but you did not reply to our email asking you to verify your payment details. If you did not receive a check, you may reapply.

If you received an email saying you were approved for a check, and you did verify your payment details, but you have not received your check, please email emergencyfund@freespeechcoalition.com ASAP.
