Social Media Star Matthew Camp Enters 'Camp Chaos' for Men.com

CYBERSPACE — Men.com has announced the rollout of “Camp Chaos,” an explicit, three-part docuseries centered on social media star and top content producer Matthew Camp.

Camp is among the content creators profiled by the New York Times earlier this year in a long read article titled, “How OnlyFans Changed Sex Work Forever.”

“Camp Chaos” had its world premiere May 31 at the Inside Out LGBT Film Festival in Toronto, with a U.S. premiere set for June 28 at the Frameline International LGBT Film Festival in San Francisco.

Described as a hybrid of the documentary, experimental film and art project forms, the series is “a provocative meditation exploring formative sexual memories,” a rep said.

Camp revisits a sexual experience from his life, first by sharing his memories of the encounter with the camera, and then recreating it. The project, a blend of fantasy and reality, “feels like a true and authentic portrayal of Matthew. What you see is what you get; he is truly and unapologetically himself,” notes the rep.

The performer intends for the series to function as “a time capsule of what gay relationships and encounters are like in a post-online dating and social media world,” he said. “It is current, timely, real and treats sex the way millennials treat sex. I feel like it’s important as gay men that we exercise our right to want to have sex, to make content with it, and profit off it. It’s sort of a revolutionary act.”

Men.com approached Camp and his director about working together, which resulted in the hybrid docuseries. “Matthew appears in all three episodes with soon-to-be-revealed non-porn actors. No Men.com models appear in the series. It’s strictly newcomers,” the rep told XBIZ.

The festival cuts of the series were fully explicit; softcore edits were not submitted. ‘’We’re so excited about this project. We’ve been working on it for over a year and we couldn’t be prouder of the finished product. We think people are going to be blown away. It’s a step in a new direction for Men.com and we’ve got a lot more fun and edgy projects coming up this year. Stay tuned!’’

The first episode of “Camp Chaos” will go live on Men.com June 28. Follow the studio on Twitter.
