PinkCherry.com Changes Platform, Redesigns Its Website

TORONTO — Pleasure products and lingerie retailer PinkCherry.com has moved its website backend to the cloud-based ecommerce platform Shopify.

Daniel Freedman, PinkCherry’s CEO, said the new secure and flexible ecommerce engine adds functionality and simplifies frontend processes while maintaining robust integration with the backend system.

Freedman said the move to the new platform creates a seamless experience for online shoppers, including advantages such as loyalty points, wish lists and discount codes that are easily enabled and maintained

Another feature that makes online shopping experience even better, he said, is a custom shipping module that allows PinkCherry customers to choose among several shipping options and determine how soon they want to receive their orders.

Website stability is also improved with the platform being cloud based, Freedman said.

"Switching to the reportedly fastest growing e-commerce platform is one of a few strategic investments that the business carried out in 2018 to support its expansion,” he said. “We have created a strategic marketing leadership role and transitioned to a best-in-class email marketing tool earlier this year.”

“Same as PinkCherry, Shopify is a young, dynamic, and entrepreneurial company, and this creates a great cultural match,” he said. “The platform is giving our designers and web developers more say in changing the website and continuously improving PinkCherry customers’ experience.

“What we are aiming for is a mobile-first design that is also modern and intuitive. Our website is now rocking a whole new look, and sex toys have never looked so delightful.”

PinkCherry’s director of marketing, Lana Grypych, said the site will be introducing a new blog with informative, engaging articles on a variety of sex toy related topics.

“The blog is to become a comprehensive source of awareness and education on the role of pleasure products for sex positivity, sexual happiness and inclusiveness,” Grypych said.

PinkCherry is headquartered in Canada and has distribution centers in Las Vegas and Oakville, a suburb of Toronto.

The company offers both consumers and retailers a one-stop shop for buying and selling adult novelties. Besides a wide range of pleasure-enhancing products offered by PinkCherry, the company’s LACE  lingerie banner is targeting the mainstream consumer market.
