Lubna Salah Joins Sex.com Parent Escom

LOS ANGELES — Owner of adult portal site Sex.com Escom LLC announced today that industry veteran Lubna Salah has joined the company as business development director.

Salah has worked with Friendfinder, The Claria Corp and most recently, Mantra Films, parent of “GirlsGoneWild.” Her responsibilities at Escom will include online marketing strategies, including media buying, affiliate programs, search engines and analytics for the company's portfolio of domains.

“I am very excited about the great opportunity to be an integral part of the Escom team and further the development of Sex.com, as well as the rest of their web properties,” Salah said. “Escom is providing me with all the tools necessary to make Sex.com the number one portal of its kind. How can you not be excited about that?”

Escom CEO Del Anthony said, “Lubna represents the type of talent that we are looking for to help our company grow: smart, well-connected and a drive to be successful. She will be a tremendous asset as we build out and launch our new initiative for Sex.com.”

Anthony became CEO of Escom in March, as part of the company’s plan to rebrand Sex.com.

“Our goal is to turn the domain into what it should be — a world-class destination and online society for all things adult. Expect a complete metamorphosis,” Anthony said. “We are going to build the site into an enormously powerful brand. Sex.com will appeal to a much broader market segment with more focus on women users, and shake loose the negative stigma associated with adult sites.”

The new Sex.com site will be Web 2.0 powered, offering a multitude of options including video and photo content, shopping, news and survey statistics, as well as online community resources.

“The site will be refreshing, lively and unconventional,” Anthony said. “We are going to completely redo our image. Unique, informed, lifestyle-driven and socially networked; these are just some of the concepts visitors will associate with the site in the future. This new positioning will help us expand the brand way beyond merely driving Internet traffic to the world’s best domain.”

Salah will be working out of Los Angeles.
