GameLink Reports Sales Spike for 'Star Wars XXX'

LOS ANGELES — Adult entertainment e-tail site GameLink.com reports a spike in sales for “Star Wars XXX: A Porn Parody,” ahead of the release of Hollywood’s newest installment in the series, "The Force Awakens."

They said an increase of over 500 percent has occurred over the last two weeks, beginning Nov. 30 on Cyber Monday.

“We actually began noticing a gradual increase in sales of the title at the beginning of November, but it wasn’t until the past two weeks that purchases of ‘Star Wars XXX’ really skyrocketed,” said Jeff Dillon, a GameLink representative who is the president of business development for GameLink’s parent company, eLine.com.

“The spike in sales for the parody is representative of a much larger trend of brand specific merchandise for ‘Star Wars,’ which shows the strong bond fans have with the movies,” he added.
