SegPay Returns to NASCAR Camping World Truck Series

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — SegPay will be the primary sponsor of Garrett Smithley, an up-and-coming NASCAR driver, competing this weekend at the Pocono Raceway.

Smithley will be racing in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series’ Pocono Mountains 150 on Saturday at 1 p.m., which will air on FOX Sports 1.

Look for SegPay’s orange and blue branded truck as it rounds the track in Long Pond, Pa.

“The Pocono Raceway is known as the Tricky Triangle but with SegPay there are no tricks,” said Cathy Beardsley, president and CEO of SegPay. “Merchants can feel confident as we safely handle all their transactions with our state of the art fraud mitigation system.”

SegPay became a major sponsor of Garrett Smithley in 2014. This is the second race during the 2015 NASCAR season where Smithley will be driving the fully branded SegPay truck. The sponsorship includes both on-track and online racing sanctioned by NASCAR.

“SegPay has been such a great sponsor and has allowed me to continue to race towards my dreams of competing in NASCAR,” Smithley said. “I hope I’m as fast on the track as they are at getting online merchants up and selling on the web.”

The partnership has helped accelerate SegPay’s move into rapidly expanding segments of e-commerce, including online gaming. The company believes that the mainstream appeal of NASCAR will allow online consumers to become more familiar with the payment processor.

“We want consumers to feel at ease when they see the SegPay name during the checkout process and know that we are a trusted source when making secure purchases online,” Beardsley said.
