Richard Avery Producing Chris Cuffaro’s Documentary

LOS ANGELES — Richard Avery, the photographer behind Juliland.com, is producing a documentary for prolific photographer Chris Cuffaro.

Cuffaro recently launched his website, Greatest Hits, with 100 of the best images of his 30-year career, including black-and-white photos Iggy Pop, Dave Navarro, Jane’s Addiction, George Michael, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Rob Zombie, Gwen Stefani, and many more. The website is the basis for his upcoming exhibition of his work later this year in Los Angeles.

Avery is working to help fund the documentary of the making of Cuffaro’s exhibition. This film will document the making of the exhibition and tell not only Cuffaro’s stories, but also the subjects' stories behind the photos. To make the documentary, Cuffaro has set up a campaign on crowdfunding site SeedAndSpark.com.

“I know a lot of people in adult and beyond, and I’m hoping that will help make Cuffaro’s dream a reality — he’s a good kid who needs someone big behind him,” Avery said. “We’ve had the campaign up for less than 24 hours and we’re almost 25 percent there. That’s what happens when you know people in the right places.”

The campaign will be up until August 17th.
