Bonnie Rotten Named ‘Queen of Porn’ by XCritic

VENICE, Calif. — Bonnie Rotten has been honored as the first “Must-See Director” by Dr. Jay at XCritic.

The writer came out of retirement last year just to write about Bonnie in a revival of his long-running “Must-See Girls” feature last January. Now he’s writing about something he never thought he would — her quality as a director.

“Bonnie’s body of work demonstrates, once and for all, that she is the reigning ‘Queen of Porn,’” he writes. “Frankly, when I first heard that Bonnie was going to direct some films, I yawned and thought of all the other fantastic in-front-of-the-camera porn stars who ventured into directing and flopped. I feel sorry for the many girls I know who have gone down the director road in order to stay relevant in the business and, frankly, hadn't a clue what to do behind the camera.”

The doctor says he expected Bonnie to flop and admits his mistake, calling her movies of 2014 “outstanding,” and notes that “each of Bonnie’s 2014 movies simply must be on your wish list.”
