Nikki Phoenix Cast in 'Ice Cream Man 2'

LAS VEGAS — Adult film star Nikki Phoenix has been cast in the sequel to the cult classic horror film, “Ice Cream Man.”

The movie stars the original Ice Cream Man, Clint Howard, and will be produced by Paul Norman Productions. Fans of the classic can be part of the next generation of creepy fun by joining the Kickstarter campaign to get “Ice Cream Man 2: Sundae Bloody Sundae” out of the freezer and into theaters.

It’s been 20 years since “Ice Cream Man”—a spectacle of gore, blood, and mayhem centered on Howard’s mental-patient-turned-sweet-treat-scooper, Gregory, who laced his frozen creations with bugs and choice bits of corpses.

“I was so happy to get this opportunity,” Phoenix said. “I love horror as a genre, and I knew this would be a fun project to be involved with. After being chased by a bull in the last mainstream movie I did, ‘21 and Over,’ this was the logical next step. I mean how often do you get a chance to be killed by the Ice Cream Man in the sequel to the cult classic that I watched growing up."

Independent filmmakers Howard and producer Norman Apstein have turned to Kickstarter to finance “Ice Cream Man 2: Sundae Bloody Sundae.”

Also signed to the production is Miles Long, who not only shot the poster and the interviews for the movie and Kickstarter campaign, but will also be the director of photography for the movie.

"I'm really enjoying being able to spend my time shooting both mainstream and adult,” said Long, the veteran photographer/director. "I've always been a huge horror fan, and I love the challenge of tackling new projects and sharing ideas with folks while making movies, it makes me feel incredibly creative.

"It's also great to have the opportunity to show production people outside of adult that there are really talented people who love to make films and shoot photos, and while the content might be different, they approach their craft with the same level of professionalism and quality that folks in mainstream are used to, so we fit right in when we choose to work there."

Phoenix recently released her EDM album entitled “Ballroom Zombies” and the first two songs are now available for digital downloads.
