M7 Group, Vivid Entertainment Close Deal for VividTV Europe

LUXEMBOURG — M7 Group has concluded an agreement with Vivid Entertainment for the launch of VividTV Europe set to debut Nov. 1 via the M7 Platform at ASTRA 19.2 degrees East.

The operators said the rollout in Europe in partnership with M7 Group follows the introduction of VividTV in North and South America, now reaching more than 70 million homes since its introduction in 2013.

VividTV Europe is specifically designed for the European market and will deliver content both through acquisitions as well as programming from Vivid Entertainment.

The agreement with M7 Group allows Vivid TV Europe to be distributed 24/7 via its various European pay-TV platforms: CanalDigitaal, Online.nl, TV Vlaanderen and TéléSAT in the Benelux, Austriasat in Austria and Skylink in Czech Republic and Slovakia. In addition, Vivid Entertainment will use the M7 satellite feed to distribute Vivid TV to other platform operators within Europe. As part of the agreement, M7 Platform Services provides VividTV with a turnkey solution allowing European operators to safely receive and redistribute the channel to its subscribers.

“We are very pleased with the agreement with M7 Group, allowing us to rapidly build-up our household reach in Europe via direct-to-home, IPTV and cable distribution. M7 Group’s European business focus combined with excellent, cost-efficient technical distribution solutions they provide, makes M7 Group a natural partner for our European roll-out,” Vivid co-chairman Bill Asher said.

M7’s CEO Marco Visser added, “We are very honored to be selected as Vivid Entertainment’s European launch partner and we look forward to a fruitful cooperation. This agreement reconfirms our capability for providing content providers with professional, end-to-end distribution solutions, in addition to offering an extensive consumer household reach.”
