XBIZ EU Dates, New Venue Announced, Teams With Jerry Barnett

LONDON — XBIZ returns to London this September for the next edition of XBIZ EU, the international digital media conference that draws leading U.K., European and American industry players for three days of education, networking and business opportunities.

XBIZ EU, slated Sept. 25-28, offers a new and exciting venue. The Hilton London Metropole Hotel, located in Central London just minutes from Oxford Street and Marble Arch, will set the scene for the most extensive conference program since its inception four years ago.

The conference offers the most distinct mix of attendees, many of whom operate in the U.K. and do not attend other industry events.

This year, XBIZ EU has teamed with Jerry Barnett, one of the most influential advocates for the adult entertainment industry. Barnett continues to strongly argue against censorship measures locally as well as internationally.

"I'm very pleased to be working with XBIZ for their 2014 event in my home city," Barnett said. "Since its inception, the London event has become increasingly influential in uniting the UK industry with the international community.”

"I look forward to seeing everyone in London in September for the most robust XBIZ EU show to date."

Alec Helmy, founder and president of XBIZ, called London "the perfect hub" for uniting players from around the world for education, networking and commerce.

"We are excited to be working with Jerry,” Helmy said. “His intimate ties with the local U.K. community as well as his extensive industry experience will undoubtedly empower us to take XBIZ EU to the next level.”

XBIZ EU 2014's official website includes preliminary event information, including hotel booking, event sponsorship and other details, according to XBIZ Editorial Director Don Parret.

“We look forward to returning to London for XBIZ EU 2014, a world-class city that has so much to offer for attendees," Parret said. “With Jerry's close involvement, the event is set be our most ambitious effort to date and one that will set a new standard for international events."

The Hilton London Metropole Hotel, located just blocks from Paddington Station — the terminal offering a quick, 15-minute transportation solution to and from the airport via the Heathrow Express — is now offering special room rates to attendees of XBIZ EU2014 at £175 a night, which includes breakfast.

For a limited time, made possible by the sponsors of XBIZ EU 2014, members of XBIZ.net qualify to receive free or discounted show registration based on their area of business.
