Playboy Plus Launches Asia Pacific Men's Lifestyle TV Channel

HONG KONG — Playboy Plus Entertainment Inc. and Mei Ah Entertainment Group have announced the launch of “Lifestyle TV” (LSTV), what’s being billed as the first men's lifestyle TV channel across Asia Pacific.

The new channel targets men 18-38 and features fashion programs hosted by South Korean TV star Cho Sung Mo, a cooking show hosted by Chang Min and Alex Chu, as well as Latin Angels, Girls Gone Wild, In Search of the Hottest Girl in USA and 69 Sexy Things To Do Before You Die.

LSTV will be broadcast in Hong Kong, Thailand, Mongolia, and the Philippines from early 2014.

The hit Korean drama “Fighter,” will also premiere Asia-wide on the channel.

According to reports, the new channel also expands LSTV’s network of carriage deals.

“We are delighted to be joining hands with Playboy Plus Entertainment; the announcement is a milestone for Mei Ah Entertainment’s TV business because with access to Playboy Plus Entertainment’s extensive network in Asia, we will be able to take our TV business across the Asia Pacific region,” Chariman Li Kuo Hsing, said.

The news was announced at Asia Television Forum Singapore, MATV Ltd., wholly owned by Mei Ah Entertainment Group, one of Asia’s largest movie studios and TV distributors of film and drama, and Playboy Plus Entertainment Inc.

“We are excited to work with Mei Ah, one of Asia’s most prolific movie studios. There’s much in store for LSTV and our audience. We plan to further serve Asian men across the world, including North America and Europe, with entertainment that they will undeniably want to access,” Lanny Huang, general manager, Asia Pacific of Playboy Plus Entertainment, said.

Playboy Plus is owned by MindGeek, formerly Manwin.
