ASACP Returns to Adult Entertainment Virtual Convention

LOS ANGELES  — ASACP has announced that it will once again participate in the virtual reality-based Adult Entertainment Virtual Convention.

The second annual AEVC will be a four-day event expected to bring together thousands of adult industry professionals and enthusiasts in an immersive 3D virtual environment.

The event is produced by Red Light Center and UtherConvention and is being held today through Saturday.

ASACP Executive Director Tim Henning will be attending via an interactive avatar.

“Last year’s inaugural AEVC was an eye-opener that revealed a glimpse of the future of social media and adult entertainment,” Henning said. “This first-hand experience of today’s virtual worlds helps ASACP craft better Best Practices and influence child protection systems targeting these online ecosystems.”

ASACP, known formally as the Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection, is prevented by financing and staff availability from attending every relevant industry event, so AEVC’s virtual world is attractive for the nonprofit organization, Henning said.

“Because of its mission of keeping children out of and away from online adult entertainment, ASACP is by nature a tech-forward organization,” Henning said. “AEVC represents the crossroads of technology and adult entertainment, so participating in this unique event is a! natural for ASACP, as it exposes us to a broader audience tha! n we mig ht otherwise reach.”

The show’s promoters have provided ASACP with a virtual booth where Henning will be available to chat and answer questions. Attendees also will be able to view virtual literature.
