2012 FreeOnes Charity Drive Voting Begins

LOS ANGELES FreeOnes.com has announced that the voting portion of its 2012 Holiday Charity Drive is now open.

In the beginning of November, the website asked all of the 2012 Miss FreeOnes winners to each nominate two charities of their choice with the intention of allowing the public to voice their opinion on which charity the donation should go to.

The site members were also asked to come up with a list suggestions so two of their favorite charities could go on the poll as well.

The public can click here to look over the charity options and vote until Dec. 23.

The company stated that the charity that receives the most votes by the close of the poll will be officially announced on Christmas Eve.

To kick off the charity drive, FreeOnes donated $1,000 and invited other companies in the industry to get involved by contributing at least $100.

So far the company has been able to raise over $8,500 in total for the winning charity.

“We’re very happy to see that the whole charity drive is coming together,” said Petra, the charity drive organizer. “Especially since this was a last minute idea. With the economy the way it is, and with people having less money to donate to charities that really need it, we just wanted to see how much we could get together to make this a meaningful gift. We would like to say thank you to everyone who has donated so far. With your donations, we’re going to make this a very happy holiday for one of the nominated charities."

FreeOnes stated that it will continue to take donations of $100 or more until Dec. 14.
