Wicked Pictures, Marc Dorcel Partner for VOD Output Deal

LOS ANGELES — Wicked Pictures and Paris-based Marc Dorcel have sealed an exclusive agreement allowing the true video-on-demand and subscription video-on-demand distribution of the Wicked movie catalog in most European countries, as well as the broadcast on Dorcel TV.

With the deal, Marc Dorcel for the first time will provide access to Wicked Pictures' best movies to all its partners and its TV channel.

This agreement allows Wicked Pictures to distribute its productions to more than 18 European countries, 50 networks and TVOD and SVOD platforms, and to consolidate a more than 10-year collaboration between the two partners. Wicked has distributed Dorcel's movies in the U.S. since 1995.

Dorcel had launched the first adult 3D VOD offering in partnership with the French operator Free. This service, which offers users access to more than 200 exclusive videos especially designed for 3D and produced with the newest recording technologies, is now available with the major TV operators of more than 10 countries around the world (Canada, Germany, The Netherlands, Belgium, Portugal, Korea).

Since Dorcel’s launch into VOD in 2002 on dorcelvision.com, the network has grown and is now available on more than 50 VOD platforms (cable, ISP, IPTV) all around Europe. With this distribution deal, Wicked's reach will now extend to the majority of Europe in TVOD, SVOD and PayTV.

Dorcel will distribute Wicked's services in all markets where the French company is present as well as on 14 TVOD, SVOD, IPTV, Cable and Smart TV owned by the company.

“We are really proud of our productions and being aligned with such a well-respected entity like Marc Dorcel is a win-win for both of our companies”, said Steven Vlottes, vice president of international sales and licensing. "We are very excited to further expand the reach of our high quality adult entertainment to the European audience."

“Since their creation, Marc Dorcel’s VOD services are in search of high quality content," said Gregory Dorcel, CEO of Marc Dorcel. "We are glad to join forces with one of the most successful American brands and partner with Wicked Pictures with whom we share the same taste of excellence.”
