Clips4Sale Wants Seth MacFarlane's Ted as Plushie Mascot

LOS ANGELES — “Family Guy” creator Seth MacFarlane’s feature film debut "Ted" earned a reported $54.1 million during its opening weekend at the box office. The live-action/CG-animated comedy about a living teddy bear that talks, tokes and gets it on with the honnies, also earned the ardor of plushies.

According to TMZ.com, plushies — people with a sexual fetish for stuffed critters — have expressed so much excitement over "Ted" it has motivated download site Clips4Sale.com to reach out to MacFarlane in the hopes of licensing the character to serve as a mascot for their plushie sites.

The site sent MacFarlane a letter in which they said, “Not since Alf has there been this kind of excitement over a stuffed animal. We are very serious and would like to engage in talks with you at your earliest convenience.”

Macfarlane has yet to respond.

"Ted" is currently in theaters. It stars Mark Wahlberg, Mila Kunis, Joel Mchale, Giovanni Ribisi and MacFarlane as the voice of Ted.
