Pure Vanilla Co-Sponsors Erotica L.A.

NEW YORK — Pure Vanilla, an anonymous payment card solution, announced that the company will co-sponsor Erotica L.A., along with Club Jenna, L.A. Weekly and LA.com. The show will take place June 23-25 at the L.A. Convention Center.

Jane’s Addiction guitarist Dave Navarro and adult star Jenna Jameson are slated to host the event, which expects to draw more than 40,000 people.

Pure Vanilla (pV) is a cash-based payment solution that enables users to anonymously and securely purchase adult content or products online. Users can purchase the pV card at participating retailers and pre-pay a specified amount. They then can use the card, which contains no personally identifiable information, online to purchase adult material.

Pure Vanilla also eliminates the risk of identity theft or credit card fraud. All users must be over 18 to purchase the card. pV plans release to hundreds of thousands of retail stores in June.

The cash-based card provides a benefit for merchants because, “Pure Vanilla brings [merchants] customers that previously could not or would not partake based on credit limitations and or concerns about anonymity,” the company’s website says. “With Pure Vanilla there are no charge-backs. Pure Vanilla eliminates chargebacks because every transaction is pre-paid.”

As a special incentive to merchants exhibiting at Erotica L.A., pV has offered to waive all setup fees for any company that signs up the anonymous billing solution as a method of payment for its sites.

Cousin Stevie, Seymore Butts’ cantankerous uncle from the Showtime hit “Family Business,” has endorsed pV.

“Pure Vanilla’s stored value payment solution is exactly what our industry has been looking for,” Stevie said. “I’m all for increasing the purchase of adult content while ensuring privacy as it benefits all the parties involved. I believe the industry will embrace pV’s technology and I encourage merchants and sites to find out more about pV.”
