13 Adult Studios Sue 1,106 in Past Week's BitTorrent Filings

LOS ANGELES — In the past seven days, 13 adult entertainment companies have filed  copyright infringement suits targeting 1,106 John Does who allegedly have poached and traded their videos.

The studios — Devil's Film, Third Degree Films, Exquisite Media, Digital Sin, Third Degree Films,  Exquisite Multimedia, Combat Zone, Elegant Angel, Zero Tolerance, Hard Drive Productions, First Time Videos,  Pacific Century International and Evasive Angles  — are asking federal judges in each of the cases to order ISPs to disclose user identities of the unnamed defendants.

Some of the suits with the largest number of defendants include Evasive Angles, which sued 138 for infringing on “Horny Black Mothers & Daughters #8.”

Also, Devil's Film sued 150 for allegedly trading "Don’t Tell My Wife That I Assfucked the Babysitter 7”; Third Degree Films had two suits involving 216 and 141 Does; and Exquisite Media filed a pair, suing 157 and 21 Does over poaching and trading "Supergirl XXX: An Extreme Comixxx Parody."

All of the suits were filed in Washington, Florida, California, New York and Maryland.

Each of the suits claim infringement damages of up to the statutory maximum of $150,000 per film.
