Porn Guardian Presents at XBIZ EU

ATLANTA — Anti-piracy firm Porn Guardian made presentations at two conferences last week, XBIZ EU and the European Summit.

“It amazes me how little industry insiders actually know about the motivations and techniques of the piracy community,” partner Peter Phinney said.

In London, Phinney joined the Free Speech Coalition’s Executive Director Diane Duke on stage to discuss Porn Guardian’s partnership in FSC’s Anti-Piracy Action Program, expanding that effort’s reach beyond tubesites, to include bootlegging, filesharing, Peer-2-Peer Networks and Social Networking infringements.

“Piracy has become incredibly lucrative and organized and an entire industry has sprung up to support its continued threat to the adult entertainment community,” Porn Guardian partner Dominic Ford said. “We’re seeing technology start ups that feed into the black market of stolen content.”

The Prague presentation entitled “Some Pirates Make More money from your Content than You Do” traced the history of piracy, it’s current monetization and marketing, and the ten things site owners, affiliates and content producers can do to combat this growing trend.

“It’s important for owners and producers to understand that digital piracy is big business in the new millennium. This is no longer file sharing, Ford said.

"Piracy has become incredibly lucrative and organized and an entire industry has sprung up to support its continued threat to the adult entertainment community.”
