Lucas, K-Beech File Porn BitTorrent Suits This Week

LOS ANGELES — This past week yielded four porn BitTorrent civil suits targeting 72.

K-Beech Video, which just recently jumped into the porn BitTorrent litigation arena, filed three of the suits — all at federal court in New York — against 71. Since last month, K-Beech has filed eight suits against those alleged to have poached and traded through the torrents.

The latest suit, filed Thursday, was filed against Dallas resident Aaron Davis, who is alleged to have distributed Michael Lucas' hit movie, "Kings of New York."

The "Kings of New York" suit was filed by attorney Evan Stone at U.S District Court at Dallas on behalf of Lucas Entertainment.

Stone entered the porn BitTorrent law business last year, but has faced obstacles trying in civil court some of the torrent abusers — with many of his triple-digit-defendant suits being whittled been away down to solitary defendants.

The latest case of Stone's that faces jeopardy is Justin Slayer International's suit against 1,254 torrent users who may have traded "Sara Jay in Heat." That suit was filed in January.

U.S. District Judge Jorge Solis earlier this week said that he is ready to dismiss all of the defendants because they haven't been served. He will decide by Aug. 8.
