Spice Studios Takes 'Virgin Flight' With Hi-Def, Big-Budget DVD

LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Playboy Entertainment's Spice Studios is set to release its first big-budget production, “Fly Spice: The Virgin Flight.”

Co-director Bud Lee said the movie was shot entirely in hi-def, with a budget topping more than a quarter-million dollars.

“The high production values really show in this film,” Lee said. “We worked on a very impressive aviation sound stage where many Hollywood blockbusters have been shot.”

David Stidham, vice president of sales and operation at Spice Studios, said the company decided to delve into the high-budget feature market to meet demand from retailers.

“Retailers today are asking for big-budget … with high production values, a great script and some of the most beautiful women performing smoking hot sex scenes,” Stidham said, adding that the company will promote “Fly Spice: The Virgin Flight” across its television networks, websites and other media to help drive sales in retail outlets.

The movie teams co-directors Lee and Jim Malibu with veteran performers such as Syren, Avy Scott, Sophia, Britney Manson, Nick Manning, Nick East, Randy Spears, Billy Glide and Rusty Nails, as well as newcomers Brea Bennett, winner of Playboy TV’s “Jenna’s American Sex Star,” and Tiffany Taylor, a finalist from the show.

It tells the story of a new erotic airline, Fly Spice, making its virgin flight. When the plane soars too high, the extreme altitude lowers the inhibitions and stimulates the libido on everyone onboard. While the ever-helpful Fly Spice stewardesses give extra special care to the passengers and crew, the plane overshoots its destination and lands in Tokyo, setting the scene for the future release of “Fly Spice 2: Pacific Rimmed.”

“‘Fly Spice: The Virgin Flight’ is only the first in the ‘Fly Spice’ franchise of high-definition movies from Spice Studios,” Spice Studios Executive Producer Bob Johnson explained. “The concept is based on every man’s fantasy of flying on a super-luxurious, super-erotic jet.”

Johnson said the company plans to release a series of five “Fly Spice” movies in 2006, all backed by intensive marketing efforts.
