Digital Playground, Marc Dorcel Announce VOD Partnership

VAN NUYS, Calif. — Leading U.S. adult studio, Digital Playground and Marc Dorcel, the European leader in adult entertainment, have sealed a VOD distribution partnership allowing Digital Playground to deliver its award winning content to more than 18 European countries and 50 TV networks and platforms.

With this alliance, Digital Playground and Marc Dorcel will provide, for the first time in Europe, instant access to Digital Playground’s bestselling movies, and achieve a the largest adult HD library available anywhere in the world, the company said.

“Since their creation, Marc Dorcel’s VOD services are in search of high quality content,” Marc Dorcel CEO Grégory Dorcel said. “We are glad to join forces with one of the most successful American brands and partner with Digital Playground with whom we share the same taste of excellence.”

Marc Dorcel will distribute Digital Playground On Demand in all markets where they are currently offered, as well as on 14 IPTV, cable and Internet platforms owned by the company. European customers can watch Digital Playground movies on demand by clicking on the Digital Playground button.

"Our VOD partnership with Marc Dorcel is unprecedented because never before have two such dominant adult brands joined forces in this capacity," said Joone, Digital Playground founder and award-winning director. "We are very excited to further expand the reach of our high quality adult entertainment to new audiences."

Digital Playground CEO Samantha Lewis added, "We take such pride in our productions and being aligned with such a well respected entity like Marc Dorcel is a win-win for both of our companies. Plus, the instant access of VOD makes it a rewarding deal for consumers as well."

In January 2010, DP launched on VOD to more than 30 million homes in both North America and international markets. Since then, DP On-Demand penetration continues to expand with more than 105 affiliates in the U.S. and Canada.

Since Marc Dorcel’s launch into VOD in 2002 on DorcelVision.com, the network has grown and is now available on more than 50 VOD platforms, including cable, ISP and IPTV, all around Europe. With the distribution deal, Digital Playground's reach will therefore extend all over the U.S., Canada and Europe.
