Nina Hartley Launches Social Network, eBook Affiliate Program

LOS ANGELES — Nina Hartley, a veteran adult star, author, producer and sex educator, has launched her own social network dedicated to “sex-positive” living and a series of eBooks with promotional incentives for webmasters.

“SexWise.me is an 18-plus sex positive community led by veteran adult film star and sex educator Nina Hartley where members can openly engage in authentic conversation about sex and sexuality,” SexWise.me community manager Marjorie Kase told XBIZ. “It is a space for people to communicate their needs and issues without judgment. There is no nudity, nor pornography. You can talk about sex (strictly legal and consensual), but you can't show it.”

SexWise.me members can communicate directly with Nina on the “Ask Nina” forum, participate in her live online T.V. talk show, read her weekly column and blog.

The online community currently has about 100 members and offers personal profiles where members can upload images, music, an event planner, bulletins and join groups.

Memberships start at $24.95 monthly, and membership deals are $14.95 per month for a three-month package and $9.95 per month for a six-month package with a free one-month trial.

”My mission has always been to be a sexual educator and sexual advocate and if I can get people to be as comfortable in their own sexuality as I am with mine I'll have done my job well,” Hartley said, calling it “a lifelong dream to reach out to as many people as possible to help them have better lives both in the bedroom and out.”

Members that purchase a package deal also get a free eBook, “The 10 Daily Habits That Are Ruining Your Sex Life,” written by Hartley. It is the first of five eBooks that make up her “Sex Mastery Blueprint.”

The book series also has an affiliate program attached to it in which webmasters can promote the free eBook through ads, banners, emails, newsletters and blogs and get paid off subsequent sales.

The traffic delivered to SexWise’s landing page relies on direct response marketing techniques, which the company says has proven success. Affiliate traffic is automatically entered into SexWise’s conversion system and tracked by an affiliate ID.

The program pays various rates on book sales, ranging from $25 to $60.
