International Sex and So Much More Show

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn — Better known for showcasing the latest in automotive technology or advancements in home design, the Minneapolis Convention Center will host an adult-themed tradeshow later this month that promises to feature everything and anything to do with sex, sensuality, romance and self-improvement.

Porn in Minnesota? Oh youuu betcha!

Kari Calder, spokesperson for the upcoming International Sex and So Much More Show, said the decision was made to hold the event in Minneapolis as an attempt to, as Calder put it, “bring Minnesotans out of their sexual shells.”

“What we are doing is bringing [sex] that much more into the public eye,” said Calder, who said most shows of this nature tend to gravitate towards places like Las Vegas. “We think it’s time.”

Calder said the show, open to attendees 19 and older, would feature the latest in sex toys, porn movies and porn actors and actresses, as well the latest in lingerie, sex games, clothing, candy, travel and leisure, self improvement, fitness and cosmetics.

The show also will feature several seminars, including “Making Sex Fun,” with Kidder Kaper, host of the “Sex is Fun Sex Show.” Mary Taylor will teach women how to “reveal their inner stripper” during her “Peel and Play” presentation, and several speakers will address the ins and outs of sex toy maintenance during the “Toy Care Seminar.”

Canadian firm Showcase Productions is promoting the show with a $250,000 advertising campaign, which includes several provocative billboards throughout the city.

The event runs from Nov. 17-20.
