XPhonia.com Offers Defacto Adult App For iPhone

LOS ANGELES — Apple’s ban on adult apps for the iPhone won’t stop developers from trying.

A company called XPhonia.com has unveiled a new mobile-friendly website that emulates the look and feel of an iPhone app. Users can access the site by dialing up XPhonia.com on their iPhone web browsers.

A standard iPhone app runs independently of any web browser, and Apple won't allow adult companies to sell those kinds of wares through their App Store. Industry members can get around that prohibition by optimizing a regular website for the iPhone, thereby turning the Safari mobile web browser into a defacto adult app.

It's a popular work-around for Steve Jobs' vocal opposition to anything salacious on his mighty device. Mobile affiliate program RevShareIt.com has unveiled three such websites: OneTapPorn.com, TapGay.com and TapTranny.com.

But XPhonia's mobile site works with more than just the iPhone. It's optimized for the T-Mobile G1, the BlackBerry, as well as other 3G devices.
