Sin City Releases Free Trailers for PSP

CHATSWORTH, Calif. — Sin City, distributor of Sin City and Mayhem XXX, has released its first full-length trailer encoded specifically for the PlayStation Portable (PSP).

Since the release, the company reports the three-minute "Sodom" trailer, starring Cindy Crawford, has been downloaded more than 400,000 times off of 23 Sin City websites.

The site will host a new trailer every week available for free at SinCity.com, company representatives told XBiz.

"Where else are you going to go to see high-quality adult promotional materials for the PSP?" asked Sin City’s Steve Taylor. "We’re really pushing the brand, and I am very pleased. And aside from the new releases scheduled every week, we’re also going to be archiving all the old ones."

Taylor told XBiz the trailers will continue to be free, so once users log into the site with their email addresses they will be able to download all of them. For next Friday the company plans to release a promotional trailer for Mayhem XXX’s "Fuckdoll Sandwich 3.”

Taylor told XBiz the trailers take full advantage of the PSP platform, offering up DVD-quality downloads with 16 million colors.

"These things are crystal clear," he said. "Absolutely gorgeous!"

The service won’t be limited to trailers, however. If the download numbers continue as they have, Taylor said scenes and full-length movies also will be offered on the site for an as-of-yet undecided price.

Sin City, along with its content division Adult Digital Media, made headlines in June when the company debuted a pay-per-minute video-on-demand option for visitors to its site. The company is seen by many as a pioneer in VOD technology for the adult entertainment industry.
