Amateurs Guide Recovers from Cyber Attack

CYBERSPACE – Amateurs Guide has announced that it has recovered from a cyber attack that it sustained earlier today.

According to the company, "Amateurs Guide was the victim of a hacking incident that replaced the website's gallery post page with a hacker's 'calling card' graphic."

"You can imagine my surprise when I went to check on my website and instead of an amateur niche TGP found a webpage that said 'Defaced by Balinese Crew,'" Ayrora Temple, owner of Amateurs Guide said. "My partner Stephen was able to quickly restore the TGP from an earlier database backup. Thankfully these pranksters weren't as malicious as they could have been."

The incident was reported to Naked Hosting, which provides hosting for Amateurs Guide. The hosting company's technical staff took immediate measures to prevent a successful reoccurrence of this attack.

"I believe that we were down for less than an hour," Temple said. "Thanks to Stephen and to Todd at Naked Hosting."

Amateurs Guide is now accepting amateur photo and video gallery submissions and partner account requests.
