Adult Performer Based in Utah Sues California Adult Studio

SALT LAKE CITY — A Utah woman who performed in adult films for a studio based in Oceanside, Calif., is suing the studio for fraud and breach of contract.

Tamara Vandyck’s complaint against Dennio Enterprises was lodged in U.S. District Court in Salt Lake City last month. Also named in the legal action as individuals are Elisabeth Flores and Stephen Flores.

Vandyck, who resides in Ogden — a college town home to Utah State University — alleges that she’s entitled to more than $75,000 in salary, commission and royalties for “being a model in adult films” produced by Dennio, according the complaint.

The complaint further states that Dennio paid Vandyck on time through Jan. 1, 2007, but after that date “began copying and pasting old video productions of [Vandyck], and representing them to be new material.”

That presented Vandyck “in a false light” and constitutes a breaching of an “implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing,” the complaint argues.

Vandyck, who is represented by Ogden-based attorney Randall G. Phillips, is seeking to collect damages for lost wages, emotional pain and suffering, and humiliation.
